Great things

God is doing great things our midst.
Lately  our Church family has been a part of great struggles and triumphs and Ashley and I sit at the edge of both.  Hopefully our son will be born healthy but we have no guarantees.  The doctors have some concerns with FX’s health so we are going to induce.
It is interesting the way we cheer when things go our way and we question God when they don’t.  My prayer is that our son will reflect God’s glory.  That is a scary prayer when we see a man in the Bible, born blind so as to bring glory to the Lord.
In my unfaithfulness I just want him to be perfect in the ways of the world but my heart tells me that even though he is in the 4th percentile for weight, he will bring glory to his true Father and Creator, however that manifests itself.

Oh to embrace our son for the first time. I will soon.

Amen and Amen,

-Dale

Dale as I read this post I’m aware that you have been struggling with the same prayer that I’ve struggled to pray for your son. I’ve prayed for health, a touch of God, and favor to be yours and Ashley’s in delivery of your baby boy. I find myself encouraged by your boldness and faithfullness even in this time of uncertainty. I’m reminded of Abraham and Isaach making the journey up the mountain to worship God and the weight of each step that journey required. Ultimately God’s glory was made know through Abraham’s faithfulness. I am seeing that same glory being proclaimed through your post and know that God is pleased with your heart towards Him. I will continue to pray for God’s favor to be on your family, but ultimately that God’s glory will be seen through your faithfulness to him. You are a man after God’s own heart. Love you bro!
